Fletcher Martin 1904-1979

Martin Fletcher was a versatile painter, lithographer, block printer, muralist and illustrator. A self-taught artist, he is best known for use of western themes in his illustrations. He taught at the University of Iowa, Kansas City Art Institute and the University of Florida. His works can be found in the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Nelson-Atkins Museum in Kansas City and the San Diego Museum of Art.
